Meet Scout the Traveling Sea Turtle!

Beach Junki’s Ocean Ambassador

Scout isn’t just a sea turtle—he’s on a mission!

As Beach Junki’s Traveling Sea Turtle Ambassador, Scout visits schools, businesses, festivals, and community events to help spread awareness about the challenges facing our oceans and endangered marine life.

Hand-painted by local artist Tina McDaniel, Scout features sea turtles, coral reefs, whales, sharks, and other marine species that need our help. Under blacklight, hidden threats such as ocean pollution, plastic debris, and other dangers are revealed, creating a fun and educational experience for all ages.

Scout’s Mission

 Promote clean beaches
Encourage dark nights for nesting sea turtles
Keep our sands flat and obstacle-free
Reduce ocean pollution and marine debris
Protect endangered sea turtles and marine wildlife

A word from our artist

“Standing five feet tall, Beach Junki’s sea turtle sculpture is a tribute to the beauty and gragility of ocean life. With every brushstroke I make I hope to share a story that speaks of our oceans, once vibrant, but now threatened by pollution.”

“I’m an artist driven by emotion, nature, and purpose. Creating pieces that tell stories of connnetion, heaing, and awareness. My work blends beauty with meaning, using art as a way to inspire compassion and spark change.”
